i just wanted to say how much i appreciate the discussion you're all having about this, keeping it thoughtful and caring. whether you're for or against the level of risk, i think it's clear that everyone here cares about the riders first and foremost, and that makes me proud of this community. some care that the riders have the freedom to make their own choices, some care about protecting them from exploitation or going too far. regardless of outlooks, thank you for all the input and experiences and sharing. no matter what, i hope that all the injured riders make...

Watching the front end wash like that reminded me of Neko's crash at MSA... Maybe those prototype Bontrager tyres could use alittle more knob onthe shoulders... Either way Gwin is a beast, getting up and finishing when he's a protected rider. Good Luck on Sunday Aaron.

Great to see a revisit of BCD's out front creations. Before this design w/ the 29ers, Alex had the elevated drivetrain/gear box 26er. Carbon frames, elevated drive trains, gear boxes and 29ers, Alex was out front on all these technologies. Need more guys like him in the sport. Is there anyone who makes their own race bikes anymore?

Gwin putting serious time into everyone but Mick... still 2+ seconds is a sizeable gap by WC standards. Want to see the tread on that Prototype rear tire Aaron's running. Can't wait for the WC season to start...

11/9/2011 3:45pm Man that doesn't seem so long ago...I must be old. 75-100 mil travel, v-brakes, single crown DH forks, except for King who's got someof the first RockShox triple clamp forks. Nico ruling...Misser on a Turner w/ Kona decals, SUNN Factory team, Wouldn't use those bikes on an Enduro course now a days, how much it's all changed. Forget Warner commentating...

9/30/2011 6:14pm I hope the bid goes to Freecaster, they've done a very good job with it here in the US. Having to pay for world's access is no big deal to me... Whoever broadcast's the WC downhill has to keep Warner as the Commentator, dude's funny, knows the riders and the sport. Trippy Tippie was begging for the job on air...

If there was ever a time for Gravity Disciplines to break away from the UCI's less than impressive leadership. From their selling of the internet broadcast (only coverage in USA) to a bogus web site that NO ONE has ever heard of, to dropping one of our two disciplines, this just stinks of a lack of insight into this element of the sport. Seems like they'd rather worry about Trials, or Circus Clown Stunt riding comps. DH needs top go the way of Freestyle and create a new series, year round, with a race a month or something like that....UCI...

Pure Mayhem during Danny's run yesterday... perhaps the greatest run in DH World Champs history, Warner & pagey were on fire yesterday... whatever happens please keep trippy Tippie out of the booth at WC DH events, the guy isn't as funy as he thinks he is, horrible sense of humor.
