Nah, I'm pretty sure he won Masters on a Quad Linked Marin, which is a gigantic achievement being on that weird contraption in of itself.

True. Great rear tire. I could usually get away with it on the front in certain conditions like tacky or packed even rocky trails. However, its limitations get magnified when the trails get dry, loose and deep. There's not much shoulder knobs to dig and support a lean. It gets a little overwhelmed when the dirt is broken loose and deep. Otherwise, I dig it. High volume and could be had at 690 grams per (like for my wife's bike as pictured here).

Finding the proper chain length was the key in the setup. The push push mechanism itself is very simple and quite intuitive once you get on it. My wife only took all of 5 mins on the trail to get the hang of using one single shifter paddle. Smooth downshifts and crisp (but without the SRAM-esque thud) release. The rear der took a couple of direct rock strikes while riding for a few days in Sedona this past week. Pretty solid. I will def get the short cage DH version for my M16c when it's release in a few months.

So far, so very good. It was raced this past Sunday and the everything seemed to have worked out well for my friend on board it. Pretty well engineered piece to make use of that 9t cog. Pretty rad.
