On a side note, anyone got any ideas why the Giant dh team riders are not using the prototype bike they raced with last year? They are back on the old glory. I wonder if Giant will pull out of dh racing.

Given how meticolous he is preparing for this race I wouldn't be surprised if he ran some electronic unobtanium lockout after testing it all year long. What if it is something like Fox's live valve? It might come in handy on this track. The cover and the fact that his team members are not using this "system" on their bike...

Oh ok. I have to say I have never really felt a lot of pedal kickback on my 27.5 wilson, but I can't compare it with other bikes. On the topic of antisquat, I admit I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how an idler affects it, but I guess for a dh bike it's not the most important factor.

Well I really wouldn't consider the current wilson an high pivot bike, the axle moves forward for the majority of the travel above sag. BTW, you are right, you can get a rearward axle path with a horst link or a dual link design (which are actually pretty much the same in regards to this matter) but the virtual instant...

Thanks guys, now I see it. So this is a true high pivot bike as far as wheel path goes, but with the braking tunability of an horst link. Really nice, I always wondered why Devinci didn't go for an high pivot on the current wilson. I wish they would get rid of the shock extension though, but it looks...

That millyard bike is amazing. It was and still is innovative. I'd love to own one with updated geo and a 29 front. I' m really looking forward to the video about the shock and fork. From this vid it looks like the rebound is out of wack, but it's hard to judge given it is not a traditional...

Maybe he was just over with travelling and looked somewhere else. The syndicate seems to travel a lot for testing. Just speculating here. On a side note, can the Mods put this thread in the fixed threads cayegory alongside the tech and innovation one?

I'd say this was their intent too. The wetscream hasn't seen use since 2014 cairns I think and it's an old design (even though I tried one and it is not bad, it just feels a bit weird). Shorty's knobs are maybe too short and the central rectangular one may not jel well with deep stuff. Maxxis are expanding their...

I was riding in Pila today and there was a guy ( 50to1 clothing) testing a prototype cannondale with a dual crown. It looked like the habit proto with a boxxer. Looks really really good in person.
