HOWEVER - Sam won the Junior Worlds in 2002 on that same track thats in the video - Nico won the men with Minnaar 2nd. SSpomer - see if you can dig up the results from that event? Hey All - just a note from the builder - I asked the Red Bull guys to hold out till i had taped the track but they didnt - so ... they got the lower section of the track wrong!! they used the old line I had for Worlds last year. So from 3:40 he goes totally wrong until about 4:12 when he goes through the last rocks. ... I told them to wait ... but NO ... so oh well ...

hahaha yeah Scott good idea - I put in a proposal for a travelator conveyor belt like the airports use for the pedal ... but the bosses said it would cost too much! hahaha

hahahaha yeah - anyway - it is what it is i suppose - I have had to weather a storm of keyboard abuse for 3 years already so one more wont matter. hahaha I think besides that blasted pedal section (which i cant do anything about and it really irritates me) the track has a number of new changes top to bottom which the riders should enjoy. So I'm keen to see what their views are for this year.

Hey all as the PMB Track builder - I want to clear up some issues behind the statements made that this is (60%) of the world cup track - what you see here is NOT a world cup track - there are a TON of deviations off the track that will be utilized for the World Cup - this was a national event that went around all the new sections that are being built for the World Cup - so before all of you have hissy fits - wait until the event ... and then you are most welcome to...

From what i understand talking to the boss man who is in touch with the UCI here in SA, is that the Teams and UCI are in a quandary. The riders and spectators want more rounds, which is all good and well, but the teams cant afford the travel. Already with 2 events in the southern hemisphere this year its putting a big strain on the teams ... some of whom seem to want it based more in Europe again, but then how can you call it a "World Cup" .. .it may as well be like the IXS. Then...

to all you Masters DH guys and girls out there - Entries for the Masters Worlds are still live on http://mtbworldchamps.co.za/masters/index.html - Come and race the Masters the week before and then stay on for the Elite worlds the next weekend .... its gonna be mad ... and with the current exchange rate of R10 to $1 all you US guys can get a cheap holiday! ....
