sooooooo are the riders going to be able to build anything or is it another short travel slope contest but in utah? The whole excitement of dig day has just been taken away with these pictures. To be honest Im getting less and less excited with every picture that is posted on here. Tear all this shit down and make the riders really use those DH bikes to the fullest with some natural stuff.

Ya the timing looks a lot like what they use for adventure races. Only neg I see is not being able to sprint through a finish. Other than that, awesome idea. Love the coverage, thanks again Vital!

Sorry for the dumb question ( not living near logging) but could the trail be reclaimed after logging or does the process pretty much destroy all the dirt work too?

Whats the point of going to Utah for this event, which allows riders to built and ride their own lines and then stick wooden features everywhere?? This will make it the same as any other slopestyle event that's happened this year. Bring back the all mountain aspect, leave slopestyle out of it!!

Keen update and photos. Also agree about the slopestyle features. I understand - it probably helps the hype for people that are not too hip to the scene. But I think "The Claw's" statement last year with his line and run said it all. And I also get the "evolution/progression" thing, though I don't believe it needs to include slopestyle features. Maybe he, or another promoter will come up wth a contest that harken back to the roots of Rampage. That said, I'm still anxious to see it go down

I totally feel the same way. Is it slowly becoming a massive slope style event? I loved the OG event that guys had to envision their lines, dig em and then ride em. True big mountain style.

I wish that they would keep slopestyle features out of the rampage , it seems to me the rampage should be of all natural terrain just my opinion I still think the rampage rocks!
