4/26/2022 11:28pm I bought this bike after owning Jeffsy and sb130, and I am in love. I race Xc but love big adventures on the weekend with long climbs and steep gnarly dh. And this bike fits me perfectly! I threw on some carbon wheels, mt7 brakes, and was able to get my bike down to 28lbs (check out my bike check on vital). This reviewer nailed it it’s super playful, but still confident inspiring for going fast. This review helped me realize I am not as much of a plower in the chunk as I thought. Instead I like to pick...

bturman Liked a product review 2014 Test Sessions: Norco Sight Carbon 7.1
2/13/2014 3:26pm
Reviewed by Steve Wentz and Brandon Turman // Photos by Shawn Spomer and Lear Miller New for 2014, the 140mm travel Norco Sight makes the leap from aluminum to carbon. In doing so they’ve reduced the frame weight by a whopping 25% and improved the ride characteristics. While the geometry remains the same, Norco did take the time to make a handful of minor updates. Combining the smooth lines of carbon, a dialed paint job and a little color coordination in the component spec, this bike truly is a sight to behold. In fact, we’d wager that it’s the best...

Mountain Jerk Added a reply to Cannondale Claymore for DH
4/16/2012 6:44pm I have a 2011 Claymore 1. The biggest change I made was going to 1x10 (36 big ring) with a chain guide. It's my "one bike does all" and I raced some Gravity East rounds and it did really well. The bike likes to be ridden fast and keeps up well with full DH rigs except for the most technical...
Mountain Jerk Added a reply to Who has experience with 1x10 speed for enduro/light dh?
9/5/2011 7:48pm I have a Claymore as well, and run 1x10 with a 36 chainring. It climbs pretty well with the 36 and granny gear in the back. I'd recommend anywhere between a 34-36.

It's insane to see the images and video from the flood after being there this summer. Such a friendly, accommodating community.

Mountain Jerk Added a reply to Fat grips or thin grips?
12/21/2010 8:16pm Sunline Half Waffle and Logo Thick. Never could understand why so many prefer a thin grip. They make my hands hurt.
Mountain Jerk Added a reply to helmet cam options/recommendations?
8/26/2009 9:13pm There's a nice selection of mounting options, though they each run about $20 a piece and none are included with the camera. I run the goggle strap mount the most as it can be easily adjusted or removed. The downside to the helmet mounts is that once you stick the mount on your helmet, it can't be moved or transferred...

10/4/2011 5:10pm I've been using the Vholdr, and have been pleased with the results. One thing I have noticed is the better the lighting, the better the quality. http://www.vimeo.com/5869064 This is the regular Vholdr, not the new HD, though the HD seems to be a nice step up.
