If you wanted to get into the science of crank length go here: Why Shorter Cranks Are Better (According To Science), but really for me, it was more about reducing pedal strikes. The Stumpy already has a really low BB height in the neutral position, but in the Low and Slack positions it's deep especially at sag. Even in the Steep and High positions it still sits 4mm lower than the Enduro. Originally I had 170 E-Wings and was slamming them into everything.
