10/18/2022 9:23am At this point we'd rather have the customer send the fork in so we can fix/replace anything necessary. We do have replacement parts on hand that we could send out to a shop that's suspension-competent. The shop can give us a call and let us know what they need. The build is pretty intuitive so most suspension-competent mechanics could open it up without any surprises. We are in the process of finishing up a fork maintenance page. We're hoping to have it up in the next couple weeks. It will go through the basic re-build process. At that point we...

10/17/2022 2:42pm If anyone has any questions or critiques, I'm happy to answer them. We were very deliberate on every single part on this bike to optimize it for BMXish riding. I'm happy to explain our choices and take criticism.

10/17/2022 2:39pm WHY? This is Mike, the designer. The fork on this bike is not a cheap no-name fork. We chose to make our own so we could customize the feel for skatepark/pumptrack/trails use. There’s a reason Logan had great things to say about how this bike handles on tight BMXish stuff and the fork is a big part of that. Bikes at this price point with brand name forks come with the low end, OE version which are long, soft, and springy -or- they have lower end, off-the-shelf OE components to compensate. The only way we were going to be able...

10/17/2022 2:38pm The fork is actually very serviceable. The upside to this fork is that it's short and stiff, unlike the low-end, OE versions of brand name forks that come on other bikes at this price point. Once we get the fork back from Logan it should just take a quick swap out to the latest reducer to get it back to perfect. The fork is fully warrantied.

6/8/2022 7:31pm Those look very similar to the Wheel Fanatyk splined nipples. I can attest those are some of the nicest nipples out on the market and build all my wheels as well as wheels for others with those and never had a failure. Rounded more brass nipples than I have those splined alloys. Great choice.

6/8/2022 2:33pm Over the years I've made chromo and aluminum DJ frames (Atomlab, Corsair, Etc.). This time around we went with aluminum because our goal was a fast, light frame that was as comfortable on a pump track as dirt jumps. The Arq completes are super-light which may not seem that important, but when you ride one, you realize how much easier it is to flow through a pack or pump track and throw the bike around in the air. I had been riding my Chromo DJ for years and I can tell you the Arq is far more agile. As far...

6/8/2022 1:07pm Thanks brother! I'm with you. That's why I usually do everything I can to avoid proprietary tools, bolts, and other hardware. These splined nipples just seemed worth the effort.

6/8/2022 1:06pm Jus relaying a story from Snowshoe last fall. Drove 6 hours on a shoestring budget at end of season and very few riders on the Western side and discovered a loose spoke. A girl with the OneUp EDC had a spoke wrench built in and it saved my last few runs of 2022. I realize an easy answer would be to just zip tie your spoke wrench to the underside of the seat. Would love to try them sometime. Good luck! Oh...and screw Specialized and their Star Wars Federation tactics buying all my local dealers up.

6/8/2022 10:46am Reasonable complaint. Each nipple kit comes with a spoke wrench and we also sell them separately. It's worth the extra expense. You can literally tighten the nipple until you snap a spoke without exploding the nipple like you would on a square alloy nipple. If your easy on nipples, then I understand that this doesn't do much for you.
