melonhead1145 Added a reply to 2022 Mountain Bike Team Rumors
12/23/2021 1:58pm Didn't see that coming, Angel seemed to get on really well with the Commencal. I thought he was pretty pivotal in the setup of the Commencal21 team, is that still going?

12/18/2021 4:32am Intense fishing for some attention since their team and new bike can't get any while racing world cups, they can only dream of signing someone like Laurie.

12/8/2021 4:40am I want that Mega 297 X01 so much, it's just about perfect, apart from the price! It's funny for them to say they have upgraded to X01, and Code RSCs, the normal Factory model has XT drivetrain and brakes which are equivalent I'd say, looks like they have just put a marketing spin on "we couldn't get any Shimano parts".

melonhead1145 Added a comment about product review Pro Seat
12/7/2021 5:33am I have the original Shotgun seat and I have to say it is brilliant. To be able to get out and ride on the trails with my daughter and let her experience MTB as I do is a really good thing, and she loves it too. My only criticism of the original seat is that it does take about 10-15 minutes to get it fitted (Screwing all the footpegs on and off, and tightening the clamp in the middle, and getting the position right). This seems to really solve that problem, that it's just a few bolts and the angles...

12/6/2021 11:29pm I think there is, Spectral is 150mm, and torque 170 or 175? So there is room for a 160mm enduro charger, I'd expect them to use the shapshifter to differentiate the more trail orientation spectral and "freeride/park" torque from the enduro strive

12/6/2021 10:51pm Honestly I can believe this more than Laurie going to syndicate. Either way I think it will be really good for both of them.

12/6/2021 3:31am Atherton Racing having 1 less rider? Rachel is out with new baby, I'd be surprised to see her come back this year, or at all. Gee isn't really at the pointy end these days but still a great ambassador so I'd be surprised to see him not racing. No idea about Charlie Hatton but still seems to be repping the...

11/23/2021 3:38am Steve Peat and Laurie Greenland both rode at North Nibley yesterday on their E Bikes, Laurie was still riding Mondraker from the images he put on Instagram. Bit of an odd place for Peaty to go to though, it's very local to Laurie and he rides there often but Peaty isn't usually around that area. The Syndicate rumours could be...

9/9/2021 12:35pm Apparently this is why the Cannondale DH team wrapped up rather suddenly, which left Matt Simmonds high and dry without a team. They could no longer continue using the bike at WC because they did not bring it to market after the 12 months. Seeing as this then went on to be the Jekyl enduro bike I wonder if they...

melonhead1145 Added a reply to MTB Tech Rumors and Innovation
9/9/2021 6:46am Yes, prototypes can only be used if they have been approved by UCI and for 12 months, until being offered for sale to the public. They can request an extension to the 12 months but it's all down to UCI. I'm not sure if it has to be able to be bought after 12 months or as long as they...

9/6/2021 11:12pm They posted on Instagram, it's a chainring freewheel. The rear hub is fixed, apparently yhe constant spinning of the chain more or less eliminates pedal kickback

9/6/2021 5:47am They have the Big Betty which is their DHR equivalent. I think this is more likely a middle ground between the Magic Mary and Dirty Dan, equivalent to the Shorty.
