M4RT15 Added a comment about feature How in the Hell Does Kirt Voreis Not Have a Bike Sponsor?

Sometime in late 2009, I ended up at Ray's for the first time. It happened to be their opening weekend for the season, and we expected to run into some big names up there. Having recognized Voreis, I introduced myself, and he immediately launched into friendly, energetic conversation, as though we had known each other for years. We shared some hilarious stories about the old days of the sport (something involving Palmer urinating in public), and took some laps around the jump line together before parting ways. Since then, I've crossed paths with quite a few of the top guys...

some of them have throttles. might actually be faster. but one of the big justifications I saw was that it allows you to self-shuttle. Which is admittedly is something I wouldn't mind. Let me pedal up the hill under electric, & then lock out the motor for the trail. Since it seems like we are going to see them everywhere whether we like it or not.

I think either a Nimble 9 or a Niner ROS-9 is going to replace my KHS, and I'll be leaving the Distortion in "Park Mode" as a backup bike... something fun for jumpy spots like Rainbow Canyon. The KHS has some wack geometry and doesn't descend too well at all. I love the idea of the Nimble 9. For the...

It's interesting. I have a 2013 GT Distortion that, on paper, should be incredibly fun in a wide range of scenarios. I have a 160mm Lyrik on the bike, an X9 1x drivetrain with a guide, fresh High Rollers, Atlas bars and XO Trail brakes. Dropper post and clips for trail use, stubby and platforms for park riding. And truth...

by Dave Trumpore We recently had a chance to visit the folks at Guerrilla Gravity in Denver, Colorado for a tour of the shop and to take a look at their newest trail bike project, the Megatrail. In a day and age where most manufacturing, welding, and assembly happens far overseas, it was quite refreshing to see the inner workings of a more homegrown operation right here in our backyard. Guerrilla Gravity truly keeps it local by doing all of the work in house. The only exception being the CNC bits that are contracted out, but even those are produced...

Forgot to mention, Mac Miller's album, "Blue Slide Park" is named after Frick Park and the Iron Gate trail.

Frick is awesome. I grew up learning to shred singletrack at Boyce Park in Monroeville, so that place is always going to be my favorite Pittsburgh riding spot. Every time I head to Pittsburgh to visit my parents nowadays, I bring my bike so I can get a few hours in at Boyce.
