More like I finally have the option of a downhill bike so I want to see what all the hype is about. I am plenty happy with Enduro and from what I've heard internally, contrary to rumours, Enduro isn't going anywhere. But just wait till you see my latest bike, new year new me.

Psychosis needs to be added to the Hardline Series. Drop Dead Dog, do the hike a bike, then hit some freshly built 90 footers down the ridge. The ultimate race

These bikes are great, but if you can only have one bike, I say move up a class. Awesome bikes though if you can have a big bike for park days, travel, etc.

I agree that there are weight, cost, travel, and component differences between the four bikes. And that is part of the reason we tested the bikes we did - they are all short-travel bikes that due to their subtle nuances provide differences in performance. I'll reiterate that the goal here was not to pick a 'winner' or 'the best bike.' Our goal was to test bikes within certain parameters (100 and 130mm of travel, rolled on 29-inch wheels, and shared similar components) and find out where each really shined to help riders understand which bike would be best for them...

Yo! Hey, I totally understand that critique. I built this bike to actually ride rather than be a showpiece, so I made the decision to put parts on it that would facilitate as modern a ride as possible while still retaining some retro flair. It's a resto-mod, not a period-specific restoration. So, it's got a 1x10 SRAM transmission with a White Industries crank and it rides amazingly well.
