I was admittedly a bit unsure of the high BB on paper, but with the longer chainstay it is a lively and fun bike that still is stable at speed. Plus less pedal strikes.

'Not the lightest but hides it well' - sounds like me! The Stage 5 is a great bike, just fancy a smaller brand! Probably keep the Stage 5 and save up for a Switchback Ti!

Can’t say anything about the Stage 5, but the Switch9er is very impressive. Fast yet playful and pedals well uphill. Not the lightest, but it hides it well.
