The ratio isn't "garbage," it's just less progressive than some other designs in the same genre that happen to be great for a coil/Push setup. Yeah, it's a little high on the leverage rate, but nothing a good shock can't handle. It's not 2004 anymore. The Yeti SB6c, Orbea Rallon, BH Lynx 6, Ibis Mojo HD3, Satna Cruz Bronson, Transition Patrol, Orange Alpine, and several others have comparable overall progression rates. As far as trickle down to other bike brands, we're already seeing it with the Ohlins coil, and suspect we'll see the same with the air shock in time...
