Whoa that is tight! Soooo stoked that we are underway! I have 3 in the top 9, + Tracey for the womens in my fantasy team. Like an idiot, I chose a cheap 4th dude who isn't even racing this weekend. Based on my armchair engineering skills, yes, I would also think that it adds a bit of progressiveness to the shock ratio as it goes through the stroke, i.s. making it harder to compress the shock the deeper into the travel you go. Also, it doesn't just serve to prevent shock twist, the upper link actually determines the position of the shock - without it, the shock would simply flip forward until it was aligned with the foremost pivot point of the swingarm (i.e. where the swingarm attaches to the shock).

Well for one thing, the system seems to allow them to run a very long shock, so the leverage ratio is going to be quite low. On a single pivot, we know that makes for good riding bikes (Makulu anyone) - chances are they didn't make this just to claim the title for the world's ugliest and most complex linkage system ever...

Jared's Yeti looks incredible. Is that the best we can do for a pic of Brendan's proto??? (well, I guess by the time it hits the slopes, that's that...not that far away now....but, curious to see what they have come up with now. Some kind of weird linkage...). Sven - what a hoarder! :-)

Just got done watching the US Open snowboard finals on Redbull TV - if this is the kind of image/transmission quality they intend to bring to the WC coverage, we are in for a treat! Webcast was super solid, and streaming in great definition most of the time. Exciting.
