4/11/2026 4:53am Well, a 130mm bike with fairly long chainstays, a relaxed headangle and pretty hefty wheelbase as a result isn't necessarily going to be the most eager to lift its front wheel up at a whim, that much is definitely true. I did add 10mm of "extra" spacers to lift the handlebars a bit, which gave me the relaxed position I'm...

4/10/2026 1:10pm I have, yes. A different animal. The Hugene is a trail bike through and through, not a mini-enduro in disguise. It’s just quite relaxed in the geo which makes it ask you to push it on a bit. Good fun. I don’t know anything about a potential new model. Might just be new colors, since it was introduced recently.

4/10/2026 9:18am We'll be looking out for this new pump from Feedback next week at Sea Otter. Imagine what 1500W will do to that tubeless tire you've been trying to seat?

4/10/2026 8:32am I now have some time on my latest trail bike build (I got it after you started this thread), and I'd have to throw the new Propain Hugene into your mix here. 130 rear, 140 fork (I run mine with the Öhlins RXF36 m.3), it's a super fun bike that is a bit more relaxed and eager to take on...

4/10/2026 4:01am Big fan of the deity supacush, hard to go back to anything else. I won a set of ODI normal grips and took them off after a week.

4/10/2026 4:00am Currently running Peatys Monarch on both of my mtb, one knurl and one mushroom, I quite like them. Maybe not the most comfy soft grips I've ever had (I'd say my ODI Rogues were better at that), but I really like the grip and shape

4/10/2026 3:59am Deity Supracush FTW. I consistently come back to them on all my bikes, I just really like the compound and the thickness is spot on for me. They tend to wear out semi-quickly (and they don't love wet conditions once they do), but I'll take that to get the awesome comfort and grip while they last. If you need a...

4/10/2026 3:56am Peaty's did a GREAT job with this one. The key to a good pattern is not making it too deep or making the ribs too soft, nothing worse than a grip with ribs that fold over each other and make the connection feel super vague. Peaty's nailed it IMO.

4/10/2026 3:54am Big fan of this grip, I wish they made it in a 34mm variant as well, but I still got along great with it.

4/10/2026 3:53am I picked up a pair of ODI Vanquish D30s on a trip in a pinch (replaced Disisdaboss), pretty thick (32.75 diameter) and gotta say the vibration damping is not all snake oil

4/10/2026 3:50am Digging into the new Ekano 3 from Propain, they've gone a different route to many other brands in that they will be letting customers choose their own Avinox power system variant via their online bike configurator. Two drive options are available: the Avinox M2S is the high-performance choice with 130Nm (150Nm in Boost mode), 1300W, and 2.6kg of weight, while...

4/9/2026 9:29am A year ago, Avinox had struggled so hard to drum up real interest and commitment from bike brands that they essentially had to create their own platform to prove their product in real life. Fast-forward to today, bike brands couldn't care less if Amflow competes with them as long as they can get a slice of the hype pie. Seriously...
