Thanks for these write-ups Jared, they've been great to read throughout the season. Despite all the photo-journals and videos we as spectators have access to in this day and age, your write-ups have consistently been a highlight of the race-watching experience for me. Your preparation, commitment and professionalism are great to watch. Congrats on your medal, may there be plenty more to come, and good luck with the final EWS race. And, may 2014 be the year of Jared for the EWS Champion....

I don't get why people are moaning that he gave up and could have got on the podium. It's world champs the only place that matters is 1st. No points to be had a this race. To qualify in first, be on bike that has been made especially for this event then come off in the first corner you would be like "WTF" and mentally be screwed. Hope he just laughs this race off and kills it on the next two!

There is a picture on pinkbike of the 'same' bike with Switzerland written on the top tube, so i guess they made a bike for him too...

As i understand he drove to the bottom of the stage. He had to ride/push the bike to the top of the stage! Interview with Fabien here: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Fabien-Barel-In-The-Penalty-Box-Five-Minut… They should really make the definition of shuttling clear. In my head getting a lift 1.5km on a highway to the bottom of the stage is not shuttling!

No i'm not THAT serious! Just stating what I am seeing (but apparently my vision isn't what it used to be...) On a serious note, I actually like the front triangle better on your bike than the 450 :o)

Thank you for that comprehensive description. Had noticed most of it, but still think the silhouette is close to the 450... Definitely not COMPLETELY different :o)

So so so stoked for remi. Decisive win...insane lines reminiscent of Sam in his prime ...threw down the power harder than anyone up top as well. Good to see.
