@Grimwood thanks for the comparison stats. I had read that the slash+ has different firmware for the HPR-50, differences are related to the high pivot & battery mgm't. Apparently the larger battery reduces stress (related to voltage?) on the system, which improves efficiency. Perhaps the increased range is from the lower threshold & improved efficiency.

Easily the same range, or better, that full powered e bike. However, there are a couple of caveats. Jonny mentions that the power output reduces once the motor reaches a certain temp. In my experience, I can only run at 300 W for about 30 min until there is a noticeable reduction in power output. So if you have short-ish climbs, followed by a decent, you'll likely never notice as the motor has a chance to cool. If you're running something more modest, like 150 to 200 W, then expect >2000 m of climbing. I'm 180 lbs and my Slash+...

I put a 65mm stroke shock(same eye to eye) ,a 160mm fox 38,mulley wheels, shorter cranks and 35mm riser bars on mine-it's a beast downhill and very comfortable up-I ride in eco mode mostly as I'm older but my riding friends are younger and fitter on non e bikes so iit lets me ride with them on the ups.For me it works as an enduro type bike and is just heaps of fun.

@TEAMROBOT Actually it can be a fantastic Bellingham bike, not just for galbraith but for all of whatcom county. The stock build isn't geared for Bham though. Mullet, 160 fork, taller bars and a 65mm stroke shock completely changes it. I can see where the reviewers missed the mullet memo since they're all over 6'. Also, I'd skip this bike if you're much over 200lbs. At 185lbs I can get 3500' most every ride. Last- the Trek store in Bellingham offers great support.
