I really like the look and idea of this bike. Love to ride one if I ever come across one.

As it says at the bottom of the post: "To learn about geometry, kinematics and more, read on at: DigitBikes.com" If this is a determining factor in you buying a frame, please ask there I can try to find time to post it in an update, you're the only person to ask about this. I didn't post it because there's already masses of information to deal with. Also, check out the animation of how the linkage was derived, the axle path is in the middle ground of the two systems from which it's derived.

The Insolent, it was a simple single pivot. I'd guess it didn't pedal well, though that wasn't the goal, it was a DH bike. The kinematics of the Analog system are derived from the most wel respected short-4-bar systems. There's an animation to explain this at DigitBikes.com

Being a strut slides on bushings likt those found in a fork, not just the backup/glide rings which are found in a conventional shock. As a result it should fare about as well as the stanchion on a fork, or the old Mavericks, or a Jumbo Jet landing gear.

My plan is to build out an entire line. I built this one first because it's what I wanted for myself, and it's roughly in the middle of the travel spectrum, allowing me to reach less far as I move toward longer and shorter travel options (Datums are reference entities in engineering, this is my reference model).
