I think long-travel bikes like this are the bees knees. I can only have one mountain bike due to money and space. I chose a long-travel bike, and I love it. My bike is a 180 front/160 rear Megatower, but pretty similar to the Nomad reviewed. It climbs technical stuff surprisingly well, and I'm able to keep up with most people everywhere. When I ride somewhere flat and boring I either lockout front and rear, add 10 psi to the shock, pump up the tires, or do all of the above. I have to work a little harder to go...
