Noticed the first thing loose dog did when Santacruz sent him his was swapped out the 29er for a 27.5. Totally get the mullet thing but not for a jibby playful fun bike where grins are preferred over lap times

I used to run forecasters all year round on my trail bike, really under rated semi aggressive tyre. I’d be tempted to run one of these again with DHF up front for summer British bike park laps but until they offer a 27.5 I’m kinda screwed there

Hi, the engineer who makes bikes for lots of common brands did some FEA and said the extra leverage is actually quite minimal so it should be fine. Although, every production bike I have had on test for the last year has cracked so maybe not, haha

Not sure I’d like to have my wheel this imbalanced personally Most secure place is in the gap in the stem between your bar and steerer. Alternatively I have a 3D printed version of the ‘look at meee’ pink tag holder from Amazon which not only blends in with my bottle cage, but I’ve also bolted down with 2 inch long security head bolts (like torx heads but with a pin in the centre of the star.)

Such a cool bike but you’d think that if customisation was such a big thing then they’d also sell it frame only. Rad bike though.
