Sounds like awesome advice, my crash was pretty lame. I agree on jumping with clipless though. Motorcycles seem so much easier to jump than bicycles! I ride a 23 year old Trek 970 not good for jumping anything, i want to get a bike for dirt jumps now. ... more »

I ordered Giro Privateer HV Bike Shoes, in a 10.5 and 11 from Back Country they said I could send back the ones that didn't fit, the HV is supposed to be high volume EE.

Thanks I will call Fly, they only have size 10 or 11 though but who knows, I've been hunting shoes online for 4 hours now. I may try Dick's Sporting goods since you can take those back to the store and not worry about shipping them back if they don't ... more »

I wear a 10 1/2 wide normal shoe. I tried the Shimano M089 SPD Mountain Bike Shoes - Wide Fit size 45. The length was right but they are not wide. Bell Road cycle in Montgomery Al. ordered them for me, I felt bad they didn't fit. It was my first time

I'm doing a paddle, trail run and MB race. it will last about 4 hours or more. How much water should I drink the day before and how many days before the race should I quit training or rest? It's on Oct 12th in Bama so it won't be that hot i guess. Thanks ... more »

I'm riding a 20 year old Trek 970 with a Judy XC fork.........I don't really want to try full suspension, because i'm scared I will like it...

LoL, it's tough back 18 years ago we would crash each other on purpose, i was 30 he was 54 or 55 I was faster on downhill but he could smoke me bad because he was in better shape. Called himself Father Fast LOL, liked to buzz my back tire on the uphills. ... more »
LOL he is 73! When he was 54 and i was thirty we hung at Oak Mountain and would have a blast racing and bumping each other. He's pretty tough but crashes could suck at 73...
This may be out place I guess we don't get to much air and stuff, just ride trails.
My Dad is 73 and still rides, he has a Santa Cruz Blur, I ride his old Trek I'm 48. Anyway 2 years or so ago he had a bad crash broke his hand and destroyed his knee. he was alone, left his phone, tried to ride out and crashed again. Lucky someone came ... more »
