Shimano SLX is a much better value already. 12 speed is dumb.

11 speed has more than enough range as long as you're not going much slower than walking speed. 10 speed or less would be more practical for mtb to be able to get up and down through the gears faster. I'm usually shifting 2-4 gears at a time on 11 speed already.

Does anyone really want that cassette at that weight on their back wheel? Eagle just seems completely unnecessary to me

$3500 should be absolute top of the line spec for any mountain bike if you compare it to any other outdoor sport. Paying any more than that is for yuppies that don't actually ride anyway.

Probably the worst deal in mountain biking! You can get any model Transition bike with a much better part spec and geo for $2,999. This bike is worth half that. For $2500 you can get a YT or Canyon with Lyrik or Pike and part spec equivalent to a $6000 Kona.

Anything over 30mm is ridiculous considering the fastest EWS guys are on 25 or 26mm rims with WT. Probably looks cool but you're just adding weight and causing more sidewall cuts.
