Short reach, high stack and long stays and you are golden. No but for real, firstly look at wheelbase, which should be somewhere between 1230 an 1260, and then kinda pick on preference, longer if you want more "stabiliity" and well shorter if you want to have fun. I tried both extremes at 178cm and both is doable. Previous bike...

I will never understand what is with you people and stem lengths. Stem length in itself does not matter at all. All that matters is where your grips end up being. You can achieve same bar position with 30mm stem and 50mm rise bar and with 50mm stem with 20mm rise bar. Or maybe someone with 30 mm stem and...

For anyone looking for a HR3, Argotal, Shorty and that kind of tire I recommend Specialized Hillbily Like this tire fucks :D 2.4, T9, Grid gravity and damn it is good. Ran Argotals Dh super soft in the front before and it is almost as good in the wet and on loamers, but way better when it is dry, especially...

I wish there were fewer tiers of products to choose from and more emphasis on personalization within a product range for different sorts of customers. I don't think the average person benefits much from upgrading to GX, SLX, XT, XTR, XO or XX, but I think the average person benefits A LOT from the right head tube length, handlebar rise, chainstay lengths, frame flex characteristics, tire casing, damper tunes, spring rates, grip diameter, etc for their weight, body size, and riding style. The number of SKU's bike companies already have to juggle is ridiculous, so I think it goes without...

To people saying that a bike would come too long with your prefered reach if you went with balanced front to rear ratio, you are in my opinion looking at it from wrong angle. Reach is like the fifth most (least?) important geometry number. One should always firstly look at wheelbase, followed by f/r center ratio, headangle, bb drop and...

Honestly does it even matter? Reach on it self as with all those rad and raad and whatever are useless metrics that can be modified in so many ways that as long the wheelbase is correct don't really matter. Like you can have two bikes with same reach and a 5cm of difference in wheelbase. And the same is possible...
