I wish there were fewer tiers of products to choose from and more emphasis on personalization within a product range for different sorts of customers. I don't think the average person benefits much from upgrading to GX, SLX, XT, XTR, XO or XX, but I think the average person benefits A LOT from the right head tube length, handlebar rise, chainstay lengths, frame flex characteristics, tire casing, damper tunes, spring rates, grip diameter, etc for their weight, body size, and riding style.
