I tighten all my parts to the torque specs of the components. I’ve even gone a few nm past spec to prevent the slippage. There comes a point when cranking bolts down til “they just don’t turn no mo” damages expensive parts.

Nice build! I ride a Ransom 920. Keep an eye on your pivot bolts. One of mine let go yesterday and nearly put me into a tree. I was lucky to be on a blue trail at the time. The flex I was getting from only having one side of the back end connected could have (may have, getting it inspected) destroyed the rear swingarm. Brand new bike, too.

The bike they put together IS lower end. I wasn't using the phrase to compare what they've built to another bike. $3000 with a lifetime frame warranty: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/glory.2/14838/66208/ Anyone with any sense of how to talk with people could walk out the door of a good shop with that bike for under 3k. Most everything on the bike they've built is "eh" at best.

Failure. A stock lower end complete dh bike is cheaper and would be much less of a hassle to warranty through a local bike shop, should the need arise.
