Great review and appreciate all the effort you took into the writeup! My ONLY goal was to search for the most flexible bar on the market possible so I decided to purchase the Trail One - Crockett. Main reason is that there's a lot of chunk in my area and my left shoulder gets chronic pain after a 3-4 hour ride forcing me to stay away from the more technical segments, my hope is that a flexible bar might let me hit more black trails again! Anyway, I'm curious how significant of a loss in flex it would be to...

One thing to keep in mind that cutting bars usually reduces the flex. I usually ride 760 mm and there are not a lot of options on the market for narrower bars. So I really like the Era! btw: I use a Newmen SL 31.8 aluminium bar in 760.

Curious why you chose to cut your bars down? Did you test full length first? If so, did you notice any difference losing flex with the bar cut afterward?

Love this testing, thorough, kind to all the brands while still offering constructive feedback and acknowledging that everyone has different preferences. I will be stoked to see more bars added and a comprehensive list. A few years back Johan did a bar flex test, using a some gym equipment, it wasn't subjective at all and just offered a simple look at handlebar flex. I used to reference it quite a bit and wished it had been expanded upon. I very much enjoyed reading this article and look forward to the similar articles that follow.

Why would anyone want a titanium bar which presumably offers no flex?
