Loic is a genuine dude. Props to Specialized for letting him be who he is and say what he wants. Too many fake, brand-protecting personalities in this sport. Mountain biking needs more people like Loic.

There seems to be very little (read: none) strategy in WC racing lately based on consistent weather patterns at certain venues - especially compared to the past. With riders scratching and clawing for points, why would someone possibly chasing an overall sacrifice the quali points to gamble on rain Sunday at ~4PM? Sad to see, used to love seeing those strategic qualis play out to be winning race runs. THAT, is what the WC is/should be all about.

Take a trip down Chimney Hollow in the mountains of Western VA. A perfect ribbon of trail that's all rock at the top and transitions into blistering fast singletrack for the remaining 6 minutes. It doesn't get much better!
