This is soooo rad. I got nothin against e-bikes, I actually think the Heckler is super cool, but I really wish SC had done this first. I know I’d have bought two, at least.

The one thing we all need to remember here is that if it has a motor. People will and in this case already have figured out ways to make it more powerful and go much faster. If you know anything about electric motors and batteries it doesn’t take much to an hack an ebike to make it go faster. Or add a throttle for that matter. Don’t even try to tell me it’s not possible. A quick google or YouTube search will enlighten you. I have a friend that builds ebikes and with a few tweaks they will do burnouts...

This was fairly entertaining. MTB Bikes are RAD. I want to get shreddy, I like to get shreddy, I need to get shreddy. I find that pricing offensive as well for new Pivot. Not sure what they have to be so proud of and think that the marketing push budget must need to be recoup'd with such astronomical pricing. I won't spend that much money on a dirt bike and own a '19 KTM 300 xcw I bought new.

We have our initial impressions of the Sight here. The geometry and approach to design are very different between the two bikes. That said, both bikes are targeted as being a "do everything" kind of ride. As for refined or sleek, that would perhaps be a matter of opinion. There are numerous nice details on the Sight that we thoroughly appreciate. Be on the lookout for a long-term review in the near future.
