Still no release date?

Hi. First of all, we tend to only do pretty light reviews from these first ride type presentations, it's hard to provide definitive conclusions with just a couple of days on the trail (usually an unknown trail as well). But, to answer your question: the Jeffsy is not just a lightweight Capra. I ride a Capra 27 currently, and the Jeffsy is a different bike. It feels and rides much lighter, mainly because of the shorter travel and steeper angles. You say the angles are "close to the Capra", but a 1 degree difference in headangle and 20mm less travel...

I just happened to get back from peddling my XL Pro Race around the hills around my house. Everything is covered in snow so it's not really mountain biking, but just getting a feel for the bike and the sizing. Size when seated and standing is very comfortable, but I can tell the overall length will take some getting used to. Takes more effort to wheely and manual or to instantly change direction, but I can still do all of those things and I'm sure it will get easier as I ride it more and on real trails without snow...

The answer would depend on where I ride. There is not a huge difference when it comes to maneuverability outright, but it's harder to properly weight the front and "get around" the bike if you go for the XL and your trails are tight...that's about as far as I would go in answering this question. Now, are you on the 2017 29er or the 27? If you're on the 2017 29er, the new bike will be a lot longer even in L. If you're on the 2017 27 bike and feel it's too short, then go XL for the new...

Really not a matter of "better fitting" but strictly a matter of preference (driven mainly by riding style and terrain). For fast, open and rough trails I would personally go with the XL, if my trails were more twisty and tight, the L.

I want to say that the pics were all shot with a L, but don’t exactly remember. As for which one I recommend, it’s easy, I don’t. If you are into fast trails and a more stable bike, go XL, otherwise L. Both will feel bigger than the bike you are currently on.

The 29er has 150, and the 27.5 160 (talking about the Pro Race models).
