I have a 2020 Super Deluxe Ultimate with both compression tune and rebound tune L.
I like this shock expect for the bottom out control, found using tokens puts me in corner where it's to progressive for most riding. Interested in the new model with HBO but the tunes are now
Rebound tune R25, R55, R85
Compression tune C22, C26, C30, C34, C37, C40, C43
Does anybody know which tune would best match? Example, would the old compression L tune equal the C22 or C26???
Try emailing RS customer support, I've found them very responsive and helpful for questions like this. The standard retail tune for the last 2 generations of SD has been C34 / R55. I vaguely recall that at launch of the ~2024 products when they changed to the numbered tune system, there was a graphic showing how those aligned to the old alphabet tune codes, but I don't have it bookmarked.
I found this somewhere a while ago, should give you the info you need.
It's in MY23 shock service manual in the section covering the updated high flow piston (as per the text above the table).
Not sure if it aligns with the older tunes, as in does and old L tune correspond to a new shock with a C37 tune, but it probably is better than being completely in the dark...
Actually doing a revalving is covered by the rock shox piston tuning guide. The spare parts catalogue has the part number for the shim package to go with the high flow piston to do the retune (no need to buy individual shims).
