It's spring, and you know what that means - time for the freeride boys and girls to head down to South Africa and blast some of the biggest airs of the year. It all kicks off on April 7, but the crew is already on site and working hard to get the course ready. There's a new quarter pipe hit being put up, safe to say that it looks absolutely terrifying. We can't wait for the action! Stay tuned to this thread for the event build-up and all the craziness.

That dirt quarter looks brutal to land on. Judging from how fast they're hitting the step up, they're going to be absolutely falling from the sky onto the quarter landing. Part of the mechanics of big modern drops and jumps is the forward momentum, but this is going to be like jumping out of a third story window and falling straight down. Hope it works but I'll be surprised if they don't leave a crater when they land.
