anybody ever patch a sidewall b4?? i got a small opening that goes from rim to tread.. the sealant has stopped the leak but i haven't ridin on it yet..

whatcha all think??

Sorry dude, But that tire is roached. I have used dollar bills before, with a tube to get out of the bush, but I'm not sure that anything can be done in a semi reliable fashion. You MAY be able to use the stuff from a patch kit, with the contact cement, and a large patch on both sides... but you'll have to scrape away all off the sealant, or it wont bond.

Agreed, chalk it up as a loss and get some new rubber. If you want to roll the dice and try to patch it, at least put it on the rear (if it's not already). Riding out a rear blowout is one thing but doing the same on the front is a different kind of fun.

I have a much smaller tear in the sidewall on my rear tire and it won't seal. I had to go back to a tube for now.
