I know that Vital is generously testing a boat load of new trail/All mtn bikes at the moment but I don't think any of them are A. in my price range or B. to my liking. I think they might be testing these two I have mentioned soon but I JUST sold my cannondale and now am on the market for a new ride for the trails around my house which are tight and twisty with lots of trees, rocks and obstacles which is why I'm leaning more towards the 26 inchers (and I"m also a DH'er who is getting back into trail riding this year).
I can get a pretty comparable deal on either the Specialized Stumpjumper EVO comp or the Giant Reign 1, but I'm kinda torn here, has anyone put any saddle time on either of these bikes?? They seem pretty evenly matched, with the Specialized having slightly slacker geometry and the Giant having slightly more travel and more of the components that I like to ride (Fox and Shimano vs Sram and RS). Any input would help guys, thanks!

No clue on the Reign. I haven't ridden one.
but it's more fun to descend on the Reign.. I think the Reign is more comparable to the Specialized Enduro
