Towing with Ebikes

Has anyone ever tried to pull a friend uphill with their Ebike? I've been afraid to ask anyone in real life, but it seems like it could be done.

A few years ago I had a Klx110 that was used to shuttle two DH bikes at a time, this little bike probably only made a couple horsepower, but it would tow two bikes in 2nd gear most of the way up the hill, needed first for the last bit but makes me think ebike tow is possible.

This is probably a little different than what you have in mind, but this cargo bike could absolutely tow one adult on a bike up a hill (or an adult on the back seat and tow the bike)

I have. I jumped on my buddy's Scott e-bike and he got on my Bronson, he still assisted (paralyzed from the knees down) and we put the bike on Turbo. It wasn't easy but I wanted to see how fast we could go. 9mph uphill for several miles. Cool interval training?

As an aside: I was surprised how weird my bike felt to me afterward, like pedaling was the hardest thing ever.

I have done it a bunch of times with a friend who has an ebike. If you pedal along with the ebiker it goes much better and faster. We use two inner tubes attached together for length and the elasticity. One on the seatpost and the other over the stem. It gives the mountainbiker a taste of what it is like to have an ebike on the climbs. It also allows you to ride with an ebiker without him/her having to wait for you on the climbs. Good fun but when the leash slackens you have the feeling you have a double flat! haha
