Got my box a day after they shipped out (though I'm local), and I'll tell you that it's all pretty good stuff in the first delivery. Without spoiling the contents for anyone, I'll say that everything are from good brands and all items are functional. Kind of makes me wish they were monthly instead of every other, it'll be a long wait until February.
Yap, I was kinda surprised it was really fast getting here. But it's there. I got this from USPS and the local service confirmed.
Your item is being processed by customs in PORTUGAL at 8:00 am on December 12, 2017.
now it comes the hardest part, well I knew (kinda) on what I was getting into, specially now during xmas, let's see if I can get away with it, after all I didn't buy a thing officially.... :|
Not sure how the red blinky light is MTB?!? Commuter/ road bike item for sure..
You've never been on an MTB night ride before? A red blinky on the seat tube of the rider in front of you gives you a reference when the dust kicks up at night

Ah ha! Very good info. I really need a light for night rides now.
Anyone received it in Germany with no problems? I think I'm changing my address to Germany, to a friend (who will resend it to me), as this guys in Portugal's customs are giving me some unnecessary headache.
Like most of these gear club boxes( I have subscribed to many different ones) you sometime get what you paid for and sometimes curse life. I must say the toque, t shirt, marsh guard and little blinky light will get used as well as the chain lube. not to bad considering the price paid. Look forward to the next one to see if I keep my subscription. So far not too shabby vitalmtb.
Got my box today - finally!
It took 18 days to get through customs and an extra 29 euro (34 usd).
I liked it a lot but I think I have to ask a favor to a friend and reroute the next one through Germany, otherwise these people will try again to extort some money of me.
After all, $49.95 pack+$25 $shipping and $34 customs is a tad too much. :| but anyway, worth the experience.

Sucks to hear you had to pay more, but blame that on your customs office, not Vital.

That would be silly, why would I do that? since the beginning of the thread I made that perfectly clear, these guys here are asses and the extort peoples money, I was aware and it would be a gamble I was willing to take. I'm just sharing my experience man. :|

I didn't say you did... just saying, customs sucks anywhere when they do that. At least you got the package... I've heard of people getting taxed so much in other places that they just leave it at customs and call it a loss.
Okey, I just wanted to make it clear that I'm in no way blaming Vital for anything.
Anyway, about the customs, that's the type of thing worth sharing, I would like to hear about other parts of Europe for example, just to notice the amount of interference some states do in this type of situations. Even in terms of sponsorship's and stuff like that. My option will be rerouting the package to Germany, maybe there they are a little less picky. Don't know.
Open it up, take the batteries out and make sure they're installed in the right direction. I thought mine didn't work either until I took a look at the instructions on the Lezyne website:

yep, they're shipped w/ the batteries in backwards so they don't accidentally get turned on and drained. higz, if the light is actually defective, hit up the contact info on the letter that came w/ your box and we'll get you a new one.
Thanks for the replies. I did remove the batteries a few times to ensure correct placement earlier. After these responses, I grabbed it again and opened it up, removed the batteries and there was a small piece of paper that was stuck on one of the batteries. How I didn't see it the other times is beyond me, but it now works. Thanks again.
Hey all, just an update on Gear Club. Box #2 has shipped (it's pretty rad!) and we're working with a new shipper for international customers. For UK customers, we're pre-paying VAT, so you should be no longer be charged VAT or a Royal Mail handling charge. For customers everywhere else, the new shipper should help avoid customs delays.
Got hosed with customs fees with the new shipper. $20 customs on top of extra shipping cost to Canada plus exchange rate, equals out to about $100 for a box. Not worth it anymore...
Been fun but no way I can justify the cost!
Shout out to Will from vital for sorting out my first package from December which ended up in lost in Mexico... he made it right and sent a new first box my way no charge.
@raine - rad, glad you're stoked!

Mine has gone back to Louisville, KY three times from Toronto... hoping this is the last time.
Excited regardless, now it's actually a Christmas present!
