At a local NZ race (photo report coming soon) this past weekend, Brook MacDonald was on a GT Fury (we're assuming it's probably not his 2016 World Cup bike), Blenki was ripping the Norco Aurum w/ the pulley and Rupert Chapman on a prototype Bergamont DH whip with some wine-inspired mods.

Interesting with the cork. My current Sled (Trek Session) has some pretty bad slap, from when the top of the derailleur smacks the underside of the chain stay. All of the paint has been chipped off. I have used a bunch of gorilla tape in the past, but i wonder if there is something to this. Maybe something less greasy looking...

What is Rupert's bike? That's a sexy beast, and quite advanced if homemade. I like the turned up top tube under the brace.

Why do you assume its not his 2016 bike?

Hey sspomer...want me to take this one?

@app-uncture - the athertons were running that frame (color way and AL) almost a year ago. I would assume the same. Bulldog will be on carbon...I assume

@ Big Bird - "and Rupert Chapman on a prototype Bergamont DH whip with some wine-inspired mods."

That's a Bergamont. Not in production yet, but Eddie Masters and the whole team were already riding this bike at the world champs in Andorra.

Brook and Blenki are dead to me. They swapped from flats to clips, and they aren't as fun to watch. Their best results were on flats as well. Bah.
