  • The Good:

Lightweight magnesium design with good quality seals

    The Bad:

End caps are fragile and painted finish is easily chipped

Overall Review: After my old, clunky flat pedals finally bit the dust, I decided to try something made with a more modern design and materials. I am a blossoming flat pedal rider unsure of what I really need so I didn't want to spend much money either. I picked up this pair of Wellgo MG-1 pedals on sale for ...

  • Wellgo B-27 Flat Pedal

Featured Review Durable and solid pedal (product review)

    The Good:

Good price with lots of performance

    The Bad:

Bearings can get a bit sticky sometimes

Overall Review: I’ve used these pedals for a couple of seasons in all conditions (including snow) and they have worked great. They might not be as flashy as some of the higher end pedals but these work well and are very durable. I have smashed these pedals into rocks on several occasions and they still keep ...

  • The Good:

    Light, grippy

    The Bad:

look really nice out of the box, after a few weeks they just start looking really tatty (or at least mine do, they're the grey ones)

Overall Review: if you aren't bothered about how pretty they look, go for it as they do the job

  • The Good:

    Light with great grip, inexpensive.

    The Bad:

Can be damaged on rock hits, thin pedals are all the rage right now and these are not as thin as others.

Overall Review: I have two pair of these pedals, got first pair for the XC bike when to poor to buy new clipless and was surprised by how much I liked them. Bought a send pair for my DJ bike that came with 50/50's, I found that the 50/50's were twice as heavy and had less grip ! The MG1's survived 70 days of ...

  • The Good:

Very light, very grippy, good bearings, good pins.

    The Bad:

    Magnesium gets damaged easily.

Overall Review: These pedals are ideal for XC, trail and light AM, and I would use them for road commuting and street too. However for AM/FR/DH especially in rocky terrain they can get damaged easily as magnesium is very soft

  • The Good:

Nice large are to put foot down, super grippy.

    The Bad:

Can be more painful than other pedals if you slam your leg into them.

Overall Review: Well worth the money.

  • The Good:

    light, cheap

    The Bad:

    dangerously weak

Overall Review: I took these out and the body broke in half on the first ride. If all you care about is weight, great. If you care at all about durability or safety, look elsewhere.

  • The Good:

Bearings have lasted me a long time now. Good sized platform at a good price.

    The Bad:

Not a good grip with a thin layer of debris

Overall Review: This pedal really isn't to bad overall. The platform size feels great on my wide feet and I don't get any pressure points on the bottom of my foot like some others. I did however find that when I was riding in either wet conditions and an ever so thin layer of mud got in the fine grooves I lost ...

  • The Good:

    Light wieght
Pins are screwed in from top, not through the body

    The Bad:

    A little thick.

Overall Review: Although not as thin as some pedals, still one of the best deals. I love the pins. When they get damaged you can still unscrew them without damaging the body threads. You may have to use pliers but thats better than having to cut damaged pins just take them out and risk ruining the body threads...
