Semenuk crashed during both runs on tricks that are pretty stock (for him). Did the hype get to his head? It was certain that all eyes were on him and the runs he had going prior to the crashes were full of winning potential.

It was sort of poor sportsmanship how he just rode away after his second run. My guess is he was bummed for missing out on a big bonus from Red Bull or Trek.

Or he could of just been bummed that he couldn't complete a full run on what was essentially his 'home' slopestyle competition.

What ever he was bummed about, he should have stuck around and given an interview for his fans, of which I count myself as one.

The higher up you are, the harder you fall I guess. I'm sure in his mind, after all his recent success (and the general backing and predictions of fans and the media), I would guess he too expected to at least take a podium, perhaps win it. To not even make the finals must be such an emotional drain on the mind and body. I too would like to see him stick around for not only the fans, but for the other riders (who cheered him on last year). But I don't totally blame him, I'd probably think about doing the same thing.

leave the kid alone.. the guy is what 21..? He had a bad day.. Why does everyone have to be a performing monkey..? He rides bikes well, that doesn't make him a PR guy..
