Since today was just Day One practice and the riders weren't getting totally sideways yet (well except Fairclough, Bryceland and Blenki), today's man of the moment was Clay Porter, who premiered his movie The Tipping Point tonight. The movie truly leaves you feeling really good about downhill as a sport, and how intense the riding and rivalry is right now. We couldn't be living in more exciting times. Clay captures the highlights and some lowlights of the 2008 season in an action-packed hour that flies by. High quality filming, editing give you a uniquelook at what was going on through Sam, Gee's and Minnaar's heads throughout the season as they battled for the overall.Clay really does a good job weaving together a gripping story in what would otherwise just be another race video. Minnaar's part, shot here in Pietermaritzburg, got some loud crowd cheers as local watering holes and Greg's antics and friends with cameo parts popped up on the screen. This close knit riding community in South Africa was privileged to be the first to see The Tipping Point.
