LEARN DOWNHILL RACE TRAINING TECHNIQUES WITH WORLD CUP RIDER AARON GWIN
Nathrop, CO – September 21, 2010 - Have you ever wondered what makes those World Cup guys so dang fast? Ever wanted to know the race preparation and training secrets of the top pros? Join us in Bootleg Canyon the last weekend in October for a training camp with top Yeti Pro downhiller Aaron Gwin!
What: color:black"> Arial;color:black">Downhill Race Training Camp taught by Aaron Gwin in conjunction with Race Performance Management and Keith Darner. Aaron is the current 2 time defending downhill National Champion, the highest-ranked American downhiller by the UCI, and the only American to land on the podium at a World Cup race in the past ten years. Plain and simple: Aaron is the fastest American on a mountain bike, and he’s going to share his race secrets with the camp attendees. RPM team director Keith Darner brings a wealth of knowledge from racing, coaching, and managing mountain bike race teams for the past 25 years. So if you are interested in improving your skills on a bike and learning the race strategy of America’s fastest pro, then sign up! We are limiting the camps to under 12 riders for better learning environment.

Camp Includes: color:black"> Arial;color:black">Lodging, two meals per day (breakfast & lunch), coaching, and skills training. This RACE TRAINING CAMP is being held concurrent with the Ridin’ Skurd race at Bootleg Canyon, and we will concentrate and focus on core skills, race training strategy, and race preparation.

RACE DAY! Camp participants are not required to race on Sunday, but we highly
encourage them to do so and put what they’ve learned to immediate use. Race
entry fees are not included in the cost of the camp.

RPM/Yeti is a grass roots developmental race program, consisting of riders from the Rocky Mountain region, primarily Colorado. We are about racing bikes and having fun doing it. We make racing fun! It is our belief that development is an ongoing process, no matter what level of racing you participate in.
Keith Darner is the founder and manages all aspects of RPM. Having been involved with mountain biking since 1984, he has 25 years of experience in the mountain bike racing world as either a racer, coach, official or promoter.
He has coached the Fort Lewis College Cycling team to three Collegiate National Mountain Bike Championships, Kathy Pruitt to a Junior World Championship in Sierra Nevada, Spain, managed the Yeti Factory team, and has been the Junior downhill coach for USA Cycling at four world championship events.
