slow tires

i got a Maxxis High Roller DH, and yea its slow, so i flipped around and bam!! it rolls so much better now. still tracks great and corners well and no loss of traction, as far as i can tell....
anybody else ever done this??

Are you certain it was on the correct way when you put it on the first time?

This. Cause there is no question that tire is faster the 'right' way than the 'wrong' way.

heres a foto of the tire on the rim backwards.and one from the rear i got it in Costa Rician border town.
