Canyon continues to make big moves, and 2017 looks to be no exception. We just received a preview of four new and updated models for the upcoming year, including a women's Spectral CF EX and the all-new and XC race-ready Exceed CF SL.

Looking the specs over, it's no surprise to see SRAM's new 1x12 Eagle drivetrain making a big appearance thanks to a wide range and improved durability in a streamlined 1X package.

New for 2017, Canyon will have a women's model of the carbon Spectral. This bike sports 150mm of travel up front and 140mm out back, and is capable of taming some rowdy terrain. The RockShox Monarch XX rear shock is tuned to "enhance control and handling performance for lighter riders."

Vital MTB's test squad came away very impressed with the Spectral CF 9.0 EX following our 2016 Test Sessions, and for 2017 they've improved the bike in all the ways we asked for. The move to a RockShox Monarch RT3 rear shock means improved reliability, while Maxxis treads offer superior traction. Toss in the new Eagle drivetrain and you've got a rig that's ready for just about anything.
