I just love ultra arrogant comments like this. Parking lots full of mechanics, techs, engineers...you name it. They're all meticulously doing installs and getting right "most" of the time. All of them have the same if not more knowledge than Alex here. But somehow he's the one person who has decided it's all so simple and we just don't learn so good and it's us...not the infinitely variable tire/rim/insert/lube/angle/incline/tool/temp combo slowing the process down. And me with my brand new Maxxis Shorty & EX511 wheel strolls over to a dude who just popped 3 wheels in a row onto bikes...

I didn't have enough clearance with a 35/35mm stem, so I went and bought a 50mm one. Then the darn thing wouldn't clear the bolt they are talking about, because it sticks out by about an inch for some darn reason and won't clear the stem when you turn the bars right. I hit the bolt with a cutoff wheel and it clears now, but I'm roughly $400 deep into this thing, and every time I put my 3 year old close to it, he freaks out and won't go anywhere near it. He's terrified of it. So...🤷♂️

Hey Kyle, I have a pretty serious autoimmune disability that I've been especially struggling with for the past few years, and I started riding an ebike back in the fall. It's made all the difference, I actually have fallen in love with mountain biking all over again, because I'm not wiped out for days after a ride anymore. You'll see what I mean soon enough. They can't tear me off the thing now. It'll be the same with you, trust me. Wishing you health and prosperity for 2022. Happy trails!
