I love this bike. The bike itself is great as well as the effect it generates. It surely upsets so many people that I get a telepathic shadenfreude. I can literally feel sphincters cramping and hemorrhoids growing in people I would surely dislike if I met them.

I love everything about this fork but the price... holy poop! I have 4 bikes including a high end carbon trail bike and none of my forks costed so much. I don't see those on sale outs either. Maybe black friday I could get it for 600$. Target group: lads who already bought 8k carbonized bikes to their wives?

1.Shimano could have made boost dinensionong, when they were releasing 15 and 142, they had all resources and reasons to do it (it was right begore 29er explosion) 2.15mm was a PR project to sell thru axles to XC riders. 3.In vast majority of cases 15mm saves no weight to 20mm. In best case you save 56g (Tune hub +...

Yes "the market" does not know what it wants. 5" or more travel and any engineer and R&D guy will tell you that you can cross out -reliability and -no bushing play immediately if you are not into a 500mm long post which will weigh 600g or more and fit only a few Large or XL frames. Most droppers use less than 4cm bushing offset, put frkn 150mm slider and expect it to not wear bushings fast, especialy under a heavier rider Market wants: reliable, strong, stiff, light, proven and cheap!

hehe Bike Sweden what a load of typical marketing stuff you are throwing in here, obvious facts, equipment that nearly every serious bike company must have (apparently Evil probably didn't...). I thought one of the most serious magazines is called Happymtb that has special relationship with Canyon and Rose brands along with Merida (for some reason). You sound like you bought one and you are making tons of post-rationalizing. Let's face it, those bikes were crap in terms of geometry and stiffness of the rear end. They were bloody cheap, that's all. But I believe and I am sure that...

WAKi Added a comment about news story What Really Happened During Aaron Gwin's 2012 World Champs Race Run

They might have been testing XTR Di2 brakes and something electric went down, transmitter or something. You know, a great advantage to them is that there is no fluid so they don't cook as easily but daaaem electronics keep them away from MTB!

Heh, Christoph and Burry are riding niners, great to see them all riding together. Though I'd love to see some Spec roadie there as well :D - at least one guy on flats, even Darren put on those ballerinas, thanks Sam!

Guy was too nice, but what happened I believe is this males slef defence mechanism, it must be something primal. Our brains just switch to thinking: an angry woman is always right! never argue with an angry woman, especially one in pain. But I have a tip here (a guide to a more enriching man-women on trail encounters): don't try...

this ain't gonna be funny when it develops a DH violence kind of thing, with supporters banging on each other. Especialy in Britain! Two reasons: football violence tradition and so many good riders coming out of there. I see it in the news already Today on NPS Innerleithen group of supporters of Atherton Racing beaten up senslessly a supporter of...

@"slobby: I do not own a Scratch but I have a Nomad which is pretty much something like Sanction. My opinion might be not too relevant basing on that fact, but I do use Nomad in anything from Dirt,XC to FR and DH, though I am not a racer. All I can say is that in my opinion the FORK is the biggest issue, not the frame while we ares in the 140-180mm frame travel range. As long as you own a travel adjustable fork, you cope it with front mech and two sets of tyres lightweight/2ply: bike will be...

If the mystery frame is not a new prototype from Antidote bikes then I say: broken glass up yer arse whoever you are - you deserve it! That is Antidote guys suspension design. It slightly touches VPP with it's counter rotating links, we'll see what guys from SC will say about it. I hope they're cool with it. Antidote got some negative comments on LifeLine that shock adjustments are unreachable and that front triangle looks just too simple for such an expensive bike. Perhaps they digested that and did something with it.

DHX Air issues mhm... I heard a lot about the mid travel issues with DHX Air on Nomad, that's why I bought mine with DHX coil. I just wasn't sure, I took the safe but heavy way. The question is: was that only a Shock issue or also the fault of wobbly VPP1 on older Nomads?
