Good review! I've banged the F. out of side of my knees in a crash, so the side pads and the gap between them and the knee cap are super important to me. These are coming up a little short for me (along with most knee pads on the market) . Shins can take a beating, so I don't really care about them as much as my touchy little knee's, so I'm glad to see this style of pad being developed. The D3O material is a joke. I slid out super slow one time and barely slid on my knee...

It's tough to find one thing that's good for everything - this holds true for bikes and knee pads. When it comes to bikes, a nice slack 5 or 6-inch travel trail bike is the choice of most savvy folks who can only have one bike in their garage. It may not be the best downhill machine, but it'll do, and it's not the best climber, but it sure is fun on the way back down. would have been much better if it was built out of dirt. Kind of tired of seeing FR features in DH tracks. Maybe a scrub setup, but other than that, not feelin' it.
