Sure the rim strip works on every rim in the market, but that impacts on the carbon rim, made damage, because you canot see the damage in the fibers at the naked eye...unless the carbon rim really breaks all the fibers in that point. Its like if i beat you with a steel tube in the head, but you have a helmet that protects the outside, but the impacts can make you pass out inside. This is my uninformed opinion.
