I got a chance to pedal it around last weekend. It's sick, the shifting works really well and it feels much lighter than 44 lbs. Camp killed it in our snow to dirt ride on the new bike. It sound awesome with the chain spinning through the air. -KT

I think we just need to be able to hold USA cycling accountable for the gravity aspect of the sport. If that means we need DH represenatives in USAC, then so be it. If sponsors, teams, resorts, media, race promoters, and riders don't like what USAC is doing, then it seems like some stuff should be changing. -How much money...

I'm sure hooks can be installed for cheap, DH tracks can be built for cheap, Hell, I'll even voulenteer my time to come do it. 4X is a big expense, but slalom tracks are easy..... I just can't beleive that DH gets the shaft in all of this. Sun Valley should either have to host the DH aspect as well...

Since the XC stuff is already at Sun Valley, is there any hope of the resort putting in a DH course? It's obviously got the elevation and a chairlift, why can't we just add on the DH event? If they don't want to build a 4X track, lets just bring back slalom. -KT

Dylan, Just out of curiosity, what does USAC charge a resort to host National Champs, and what is included with that? The only reason I can think of that a resort wouldn't want to host this race is because USAC wants to charge an extrodinary amount of money. Maybe I'm missing something, but I fail to see why a resort...

I'm with Evan, I really don't care where it's held as long as it's steep, technical and decently long. Actually, I don't even mind where it's held, as long as it's run properly. A well run race on a shitty track is much better than a shitty run race on an awesome track. I hope the promoters/USAC are reading this...

I think it makes sense to have it be as similar to Champery as possible. National Champs is what USAC uses(with a few petition exceptions) to determine who to send to Worlds. If they use Northstar, they really need to use something other than Gypsy, and make it more privateer friendly than the ProGRT was (i.e. allow on site camping...

Matty and crew sound like they don't want to deal with USA cycling's sh*t anymore. Who could blame them? It isn't that venues don't want National Champs, They just don't want to have to run races with USA Cycling people involved...
