TheB33st Started a new thread Sealed headsets for Specialized P2?
2/4/2019 7:51pm Hello guys, I was recently servicing my headset and pulled it apart only to realize that it has cage ball bearings that were rusty and very clunky. I have a set of extra ball bearings I am using for now but want to upgrade the headset to sealed/cartridge. My bike is a Specialized P2 from 2006, and am not sure...

TheB33st Started a new thread Hub questions and spoke length...
10/28/2018 8:25pm Hello guys, I have a couple questions about getting the correct spoke size for the new wheel I'm about to build. The hub is a Bulletproof brand, and the rim is a Sun MTX33. The hub that came on the front wheel was a sock QR hub that was poor quality. Anyways, I pulled off the spokes and nipples and...

TheB33st Started a new thread Single chainring conversion
7/12/2018 8:03am Hello all, I am new here but have been on Vital for a while haha. Anyways I have a SR Suntour crankset (square taper) and I was looking into ditching the 3 ring to run a 1-by setup. Upon later investigation I realized the rings were riveted on the cranks. I looked online and found that the second largest ring...

TheB33st Started a new thread What model is this?
7/9/2018 8:17am
Hi guys, looking to figure out what year/model this bike might be. It's a Specialized P.2 hardtail, and looking on Specialized's website they only had a 2018 version and a P.3. I need to know what year this is and the fork that is on it. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!

TheB33st Started a new thread Crank arms moving
7/7/2018 7:41pm Hey guys, So I ended up buying a P.2 and the guy I bought from said that the non-drive side bolt kept backing out, and it does even after i cranked down a hard as I could without breaking it. It only moves about 1mm up and down, which is not a lot but still noticeable when riding. I have...

7/7/2018 6:49am How would I have them scan it? Could I just call them and ask to scan it over the phone? Anybody have an idea of what those forks could be?? Thanks for the help!

7/6/2018 2:38pm Alright, after a quick look on google I’m pretty sure it’s a 2009. The frame looks exactly the same as the 09 ones with a slightly different paint job. I just need to figure out the forks...

6/20/2018 6:35pm Looks like it’s a standard 68mm BSA threaded BB. The crankset I mentioned comes with a BSA BB and spacers for a 68mm BB. Looks like you’d be good to go ??

6/20/2018 6:32pm Awesome! Thank you guys for confirming that will fit. I have a 8 speed cassette, do you think 30T will be enough power for hill climbing? I still do BMX so my leg power is strong hehe.

6/20/2018 2:09pm Wow. That is a huge score, especially if it comes with BB and chainring. I'm not sure if the bottom bracket is the same diameter that is on my bike currently. If someone could clarify then i will definitely be purchasing this in the future. Thanks for showing me that's an awesome deal! My bike: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/gravity/fsx_2.htm

6/19/2018 10:59am I completely agree. I am going to run that middle ring until I can buy a decent crankset and swap the whole BB out. If you wouldn'tmind taking a look at smething else real quick, I have this bike: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/gravity/fsx_2.htm and I am trying to put a DNM rear shock to replace the stock spring one. Do you think it...

6/19/2018 8:18am Ok, thank you so much for helping out with my confusion. I just figured to go narow wide I would need a whole new bottom bracket and crankset which would run well over 200 including tools. I think I'll just go that route instead with a chain guide.
