pretentious. I second the comment about being common in Massachusetts. More so in realm of very tight/rocky/rooty trails. Personally, I own a dh rig, dirt jumper, and just bought my second mid fat. They're awesome for the east coast stegosaurus rocks that require some float.

The TRSr is a competitor for the SixC cranks. Not the Next SL XC cranks.

I don't think this lever position is for trail oriented riders. If you are riding steeper DH tracks, and you are riding in good form, being hip hinged, chin down, tucked, knees bent, I find at least that I put more pressure into the back of the bar as opposed to on top of the bar. I tried this last year riding at thunder mountain bike park after I was getting arm pump, fixed a lot of issues I was having, makes me feel like I have a little more control behind the bars as well due to a more neutral wrist position.
