Sky Tavern’s MAYDAY Festival Kicks off Summer Season 2

Sky Tavern is gearing up for the opening of its much-anticipated bike park season with the return of MAYDAY Festival, a lively, family-friendly event celebrating community and mountain biking.

Set for May 31, the festival invites the Reno/Tahoe community to the donation-driven mountain for family-friendly activities including bike demos from Transition Bikes, bike shuttles, food trucks, a vendor village, youth pump track workshops, group rides, a prize raffle, and a 650-foot dual zip line in partnership with neighboring nonprofit organization Project Discovery.

MAYDAY Festival begins at 10:00 am. Admission is $10, and kids under 12 are free. Some activities and bike shuttles have a small fee. Proceeds will fund the next phase of bike park development, including the construction of a new beginner and intermediate progression flow trail this summer. MAYDAY is supported by Transition Bikes, IXS, Spank, Die Cut Stickers, and PNW Components.

An inclusive hub for the Reno/Tahoe outdoor and mountain biking communities, Sky Tavern Bike Park’s “trails for all” design features trails and skills zones for riders of all abilities, regardless of physical limitation, desiring to progress their skills.
