Yearly releases are one of the most dumb things we can have. It's literally a new coat of paint on an old product, frames are mostly sold for 3 to 4 years with no or at most minor changes. I don't see any good reason to not have the same model for 2 years, then do a 'facelift' with a refreshed spec sheet (depending on release of new products from the suppliers) and then a new model.
